Why Politics?

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

So many people ask me why I follow politics so much and why I love history so much. Really, I think that history is extremely important to learn, because it does repeat itself and I am interested in politics because, just like John Locke and the Framers of the American Constitution, I believe that the general people should be informed and educated so they can hold their government accountable for their end of the social contract. In a day and age in which many people refuse to put aside partisan biases to work together, I think it is even more imperative that we all educated ourselves as much as possible so we don’t get caught in the drift of the prejudice and name-calling.
